Peak 2 Peak Gondola

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is a lift at Whistler (British Columbia) in Canada operating since August 2008. Aerial railway connects two skiing areas at Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Peak which are separated by the valley of Fitzsimmons Creek.

The Peak 2 Peak Gondola currently has the longest free span between ropeway towers. Between valley station at plateau area below peak of Whistler Mountain (2.181m) and mountain station at Blackcomb Peak (2.436m) are only 255m difference in height but airline distance is about 4,4 km. 1100m² of our panel 2540-4 in COLOR version (pacific blue) build façade glazing of the two Gondola stations. Altitude made it necessary to provide panels with a doubled layer of UV-protection to protect them sufficiently against aggressive UV-radiation.
